Reverend Dr. Darryle R. Crump, Senior Pastor

Reverend Dr. Darryle R. Crump is a native Washingtonian; graduating from Chamberlain High School.  He has been a member of the Saint Mary’s family since early childhood.  He was ordained in 1977, at which time he served as the Youth Minister.  He enrolled in the Washington Baptist Seminary, graduating in 1978.

Reverend Crump extended his education by completing his studies and graduating from the Prince George’s Community College, the Richmond Virginia Seminary, and the Covington Theological Seminary.

In December 1983, Reverend Dr. Darryle R. Crump was elected as Interim Pastor.  On June 18, 1984, he was appointed to be the Pastor of Saint Mary’s Baptist Church.

Reverend Crump served his country diligently in the US Navy.  While in the Navy, he married his high school sweetheart, Joan Weaver.  Dr. and Mrs. Crump are the parents of two sons, Adrian, who is a Naval Officer, and Darryle L., who resides in Richmond, VA.  Additionally, they are proud grandparents of three adoring granddaughters.

Most of all, Pastor Darryle R. Crump loves the Lord; and he loves the people of the Lord.  The congregation has grown numerically and spiritually. Numerous ministries have been added and expanded.  To all this, he gives God the glory.
